Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to bookings made with Kash Taxi for local journeys, airport transfers, long-distance journeys, and other taxi services. By confirming a booking, you agree to the applicable terms set out below, subject to your statutory rights under applicable law.
1. Bookings and Confirmation
- 1.1Bookings may be made by telephone, WhatsApp, email, or through our website, where available.
- 1.2Customers must provide accurate booking information, including the pick-up address, destination, date, time, number of passengers, luggage requirements, and any additional stops.
- 1.3A booking is confirmed when Kash Taxi has accepted the booking and communicated confirmation to the customer.
- 1.4Any special requirements, including larger vehicles, child seats, wheelchair-accessible transport, or additional luggage capacity, must be requested in advance and are subject to availability and confirmation.
- 1.5Customers are responsible for checking their booking confirmation and notifying Kash Taxi promptly of any errors.
2. Fares and Payments
- 2.1Fares will be agreed or calculated based on the information provided at the time of booking.
- 2.2Unless otherwise agreed, the confirmed fare covers the journey, vehicle, and passenger requirements specified in the booking confirmation.
- 2.3Additional stops, changes to the route, extra waiting time, parking charges, airport drop-off fees, tolls, or other applicable expenses may incur additional charges. These charges will be explained and agreed in advance wherever practicable.
- 2.4An agreed fixed fare will not be increased at Kash Taxi’s sole discretion. A revised fare may apply where the customer requests a change to the journey or where an additional charge disclosed in the booking terms becomes payable.
- 2.5Cash and card payments are accepted where the relevant payment facilities are available. Accepted payment methods and any applicable payment conditions will be confirmed at the time of booking.
3. Cancellation Policy
- 3.1Customers may cancel a booking free of charge if the cancellation is received at least 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up time.
- 3.2For cancellations received less than 24 hours before pick-up, a reasonable cancellation charge may apply. This will take into account the notice given, costs already incurred, the opportunity to reallocate the vehicle, and other relevant circumstances.
- 3.3Any cancellation charge will be proportionate to the loss reasonably incurred by Kash Taxi. Applicable cancellation terms and any relevant charge or calculation method will be communicated before the booking is confirmed.
- 3.4Where a deposit or advance payment has been collected, any amount retained following cancellation will reflect the applicable cancellation terms and lawful, reasonable losses. Any remaining refundable balance will be returned.
- 3.5Customers should cancel by telephone or message using the contact details provided at the time of booking. Cancellation takes effect when the notice is received by Kash Taxi. An acknowledgement will be provided where practicable.
- 3.6If Kash Taxi must cancel a booking, the customer will be informed as soon as reasonably possible. Any payment received for a journey that is not provided will be refunded, without limiting any additional rights the customer may have under applicable law.
4. Waiting Time — Local Pick-ups
- 4.1A grace period of 15 minutes is included for standard local pick-ups, starting from the agreed pick-up time.
- 4.2If the customer has not arrived or is not ready to travel after the included waiting period, additional waiting time will be charged at £5 per 15 minutes, or part thereof.
- 4.3For clarity, chargeable waiting of 1–15 minutes will incur an additional charge of £5, while 16–30 minutes will incur an additional charge of £10.
- 4.4Customers experiencing delays should contact the driver as soon as possible. Where appropriate, reasonable efforts will be made to contact a late passenger.
- 4.5If the passenger has not arrived and cannot be contacted, Kash Taxi may end the waiting period after making reasonable attempts to establish contact. Any applicable no-show or cancellation charge will be assessed under Section 6 and will not automatically amount to the full fare in every case.
5. Waiting Time — Airport Pick-ups
- 5.1For airport arrival bookings, 45 minutes of waiting time is included from the actual flight landing time, provided correct flight details have been supplied and flight tracking is available.
- 5.2After the included 45-minute period, additional waiting time will be charged at £5 per 15 minutes, or part thereof.
- 5.3The included waiting period allows time for passengers to leave the aircraft, collect their baggage, and reach the agreed meeting point. Delays caused by immigration, baggage handling, or other airport procedures may use up the included waiting allowance.
- 5.4Customers should keep their phones switched on and contact the driver if they experience difficulties or cannot locate the agreed meeting point.
- 5.5Where flight details have been supplied, Kash Taxi will endeavour to monitor the arrival using the available flight information. If flight details are missing, incorrect, or cannot be tracked, customers should contact Kash Taxi to confirm the pick-up arrangements.
- 5.6If a passenger cannot be contacted after the included waiting period and reasonable attempts to establish contact, the driver may leave. Any resulting charge will be determined under the applicable cancellation and no-show terms.
6. No-Shows and Missed Pick-ups
- 6.1A no-show may occur when a passenger fails to arrive at the agreed pick-up location, cannot be contacted after reasonable attempts, or does not board within the applicable waiting period.
- 6.2Before treating a booking as a no-show, Kash Taxi will make reasonable efforts to contact the customer where circumstances permit.
- 6.3A no-show charge may apply where the driver has attended as agreed and incurred a genuine loss. The amount will take into account the journey type, waiting time, costs incurred, and the opportunity to undertake other work.
- 6.4A no-show does not automatically make the full fare payable. Any charge must be consistent with the terms disclosed at booking and applicable consumer law.
7. Additional Stops and Changes to the Journey
- 7.1The quoted fare is based on the pick-up point, destination, route, and stops agreed at the time of booking.
- 7.2Customers should request additional stops when making their booking wherever possible.
- 7.3Any additional stop or change of destination requested during the journey must be approved by the driver before proceeding. A request may be declined if it is unsafe, unlawful, impractical, or incompatible with another confirmed booking.
- 7.4Additional mileage, journey time, waiting time, parking, or other applicable expenses may increase the fare. Kash Taxi will confirm the revised fare before proceeding wherever practicable.
- 7.5At a stop, the driver may wait for a reasonable agreed period. Waiting beyond that period may incur additional charges at the applicable rate, which should be agreed with the customer.
- 7.6A substantial change to the destination may be treated as a revised journey and quoted accordingly.
8. Passenger Responsibilities
- 8.1Customers must provide accurate booking information and be ready at the agreed pick-up time.
- 8.2Passengers must wear seat belts where fitted and comply with applicable road safety requirements.
- 8.3Smoking and vaping are not permitted in the vehicle. Passengers must not damage the vehicle or engage in abusive, threatening, or unsafe behaviour.
- 8.4Passengers are responsible for their personal belongings. Customers should check the vehicle before leaving. If an item is left behind, they should contact Kash Taxi as soon as possible. Reasonable efforts will be made to assist with its recovery.
- 8.5Any claim for vehicle damage or additional cleaning costs will be assessed fairly and based on the actual loss or reasonable cost incurred, rather than an automatic penalty.
9. Airport Transfers and Special Requirements
- 9.1Customers should provide accurate flight numbers, arrival airports, terminal information, and contact details when booking an airport transfer.
- 9.2Flight monitoring is provided where possible but cannot guarantee that every delay or change will be detected.
- 9.3Meet-and-greet services, child seats, larger vehicles, and special luggage arrangements must be requested in advance and are subject to availability and any agreed charges.
- 9.4Customers should promptly notify Kash Taxi of changes to passenger numbers, luggage, flight details, or other requirements that may affect the vehicle or pick-up arrangements.
10. Delays and Circumstances Beyond Our Control
- 10.1Kash Taxi will make reasonable efforts to provide the agreed service on time.
- 10.2Traffic congestion, road closures, severe weather, accidents, airport disruption, and other circumstances beyond our reasonable control may cause delays.
- 10.3If a significant delay or disruption occurs, Kash Taxi will endeavour to inform the customer and discuss reasonable alternatives where possible.
- 10.4Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or restricts any liability or customer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
11. Complaints and Refunds
- 11.1Customers who have concerns about a booking, fare, waiting charge, or service should contact Kash Taxi with their booking details and a description of the issue.
- 11.2Complaints will be reviewed fairly, and Kash Taxi will aim to respond within a reasonable time.
- 11.3Where a refund is due, it will be processed using the original payment method wherever practicable, unless another method is agreed.
12. Consumer Rights and Applicable Law
- 12.1These Terms and Conditions are intended to be clear, transparent, and fair. They do not remove or reduce any rights customers have under applicable UK consumer law.
- 12.2Cancellation rights for bookings made online, by telephone, or away from business premises may depend on the circumstances and applicable law. Any statutory cancellation rights will continue to apply where relevant.
- 12.3Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law or prevents customers from exercising their legal rights.
- 12.4These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply.
